ARTIST STATEMENT
“My artistic endeavors encompass contemporary interpretations of the dynamic relationship between nature and human constructs, with a particular focus on agricultural landscapes, coastal vistas, and rich material based abstract works. Through the utilization of hard-edge techniques and organic color palettes, I endeavor to distill complex visual elements into tranquil, stylized compositions. Drawing from my upbringing within the Mennonite tradition and my background in agriculture and education, my artistic practice is imbued with personal significance, depth, and delight.

Inspired by a diverse array of color field artists and 20th-century American Modernists, I am inspired by traditional influences and modern sensibilities. My aim is to create art that evokes a sense of tranquility, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in moments of contemplation and appreciation for the beauty inherent in everyday life.”
